LED light engine for direct / indirect light
Tridonic presents prototype at L+B
At Light+Building Tridonic presents an LED engine for direct and indirect light. TALEXXengine STARK INDI emits homogeneous light both downwards and upwards and is an alternative to T5 and TCL lamps. The LED system is suitable for use mainly in offices and educational establishments. The slim low-profile product gives luminaire manufactures enormous freedom of design.
TALEXXengine STARK INDI directs 80 % of its light upwards and 20 % downwards. In addition there is a choice of two color temperatures (3,000 K and 4,000 K) and dimmable or non-dimmable versions. Constant lumen values of 3,000 lm provide the basis for precise light planning and long life.
Homogeneous area light
As classic point light sources, LEDs have a high proportion of direct light. The clever arrangement of the light sources and appropriate light guides ensure that TALEXXengine STARK INDI produces a homogeneous area light. Side edge injection means that light points cannot be seen. Special diffuser materials play their part here.
Flexible design options
The LED modules also fit in luminaires previously equipped with T5 lamps (2 x 28 W, 2 x 35 W) or TCL lamps (2 x 28 W, 2 x 55 W). They also provide the inspiration for completely new designs. Several modules can be connected seamlessly to create strips of light with a continuous light emitting surface.
Different converters with and without a dimming function will be available to match the LED modules. The converters are equipped with numerous basic functions and digital interfaces to ensure efficient and durable operation of the LED modules. System efficacy is 100 lm/W.
